Introduction to Business Analysis
What business analysts do, types of BA roles (IT BA, Business Process Analyst, Data Analyst, Product Owner). BA in different methodologies: Waterfall vs Agile vs hybrid. Core BA skills: communication, critical thinking, domain knowledge. IIBA BABOK framework overview, CBAP certification path.
Stakeholder Analysis & Management
Identifying stakeholders using RACI matrix, stakeholder mapping (influence/interest grid), understanding stakeholder motivations and concerns. Conducting stakeholder interviews: preparation, active listening, follow-up. Managing difficult stakeholders, conflicting requirements, and escalation paths. Building relationships that enable effective requirements gathering.
Requirements Elicitation Techniques
Elicitation methods: interviews, workshops (JAD sessions), observation, document analysis, surveys, prototyping. Facilitation skills for requirements workshops, dealing with groupthink, capturing requirements in real time. Business process observation techniques, shadowing, and contextual inquiry. Requirements Documentation: BRD & FRD

Data Analysis & Reporting for BA
Data-driven business analysis: extracting insights to support requirements. Excel for BA: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, data validation, dashboard creation. Agile Business Analysis
